Best Western Plus Suites Downtown Calgary

Myself, my wife and three children stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with the kitchen for 5 nights. The suite was clean and well maintained. It had full size fridge, stove, dishwasher and all the pots, pans, dishes and cutlery included. Separate air conditioner and thermostat for each room and the week we stayed it was 35 degrees outside the whole week and it was nice and cool inside. Extra towels and blankets were just a call away. The included breakfast buffet was unlike a lot of hotels and was not just coffee and pastries, there were bacon, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, hash browns and Belgian waffles if you wanted to take the time and make it yourself. The staff were helpful and very nice. The location being central downtown was a big plus. Within 2 blocks of the front doors were 15 small restaurants and coffee shops, 2 grocery stores, a dollar store and a gas station. It was located central to everything you want as a tourist.

I loved everything. The breakfast layout was amazing! Great staff and so friendly. The hotel was immaculate, and the beds and pillows 10/10 Washing and drying facilities in the basement near the gym and vending machines are available for snacks. We could walk almost everywhere, and across the road is Dairy Queen, a kwik stop and the best coffee shop in all of Calgary - Kawa.

The room had everything - a large bed and small kitchen area. Location was perfect for downtown. The hotel has a fitness centre which was well equipped that we made use of. Breakfast area as clean with great coffee!

The location was great and in close proximity to 17th st. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from nearby. Right across from a very good donut bakery, and a coffee shop that's open very late. The hotel staff were extremely kind, and upgraded us to a different room when we found some stains on the wall in the bathroom of the room we had just checked into. We were happily surprised, because we just asked for housekeeping to come by the following day to clean the stains. Having a kitchenette was nice and stocked more than what we expected! Pretty secure, no entry after 11pm or elevator access unless you have a keycard. We managed to fit our truck into the underground parking, but just barely! So be careful if your vehicle is lifted. We didn't use the gym, but they had a few different types of cardio machines and a decent amount of free-weights.

There is an included breakfast at this property which was fine but not fancy. The apartment we stayed in has not yet been renovated although they are renovating the property. There was no noise or disorder from this at all. The two bedroom apartment was large with one bathroom. We did not use the kitchen so cannot comment. The hotel is just down the street from the trams station and this is in the centre stations free zone meaning that you can get into the centre for free. Parking was round the back of the hotel and convienent though there is a charge at checkin. There is a Safeway just up the road and a cafe across the road. There is some takeawy place very close.
